For landlords.

Everything landlords need to work smoothly with Trust United — how to submit invoices, what each invoice must include, and the forms required to verify the housing relationship.

How to submit invoices

  1. 1

Issue a written invoice for each rental period due from a Trust United beneficiary.

  2. 2

Email the invoice to payee@trustunited.org at least 7 days before the rent due date so payment can be processed on time. Always put the beneficiary's name in the subject line along with the month and type of invoice — for example: JOHN DOE — MARCH 2026 RENT INVOICE.

  3. 3

Keep a copy for your own records — Trust United may request verification during annual SSA reporting.

What each invoice must include

Every invoice submitted to Trust United must contain all four items below.

Date

The invoice date and the rental period it covers.

Beneficiary

Full name of the beneficiary the rent is owed for.

Amount

Exact dollar amount due.

Purpose

What the charge covers (e.g., rent for month of ____).
